Audi has started testing a new crossover

The network edition published Motorauthority spy photos of test prototypes of the new crossover Audi - Q6, which will compete with BMW X6 and the future of Mercedes-Benz GLS. The pictures presented to the so-called "mule" - a model of an elongated body Q5 (see additional inserts in the central stanchion) tested powerplant, the chassis of the future and set the crossover electronic security systems. Besides, judging by the photos, track crossover Audi Q6 will be wider than the "five", and the car will be lower. Subsequently, the new model also will be "charged" modification. This car, according to some, will be equipped with a hybrid, which will be based on a six-cylinder petrol engine with mechanical supercharger. It is expected that for the first time Audi Q6 will be presented in late 2013 or early 2014. As previously reported, rival BMW X6 and the company is preparing a Mercedes-Benz. The machine, which will be called GLS, will be built on a platform of M-Class new generation gets a sloping roof line and exterior style model CLS. In the new range of engines will include a six-and eight engines of 3.5 and 4.6 liters. Also the car can be ordered with a three-liter diesel and hybrid diesel-electric propulsion. Edition Mercedes-Benz GLS starts in three years at the plant in the United States.
