Audi will spend to develop new machines a record amount

Up to 2015, Audi will direct the development of new cars and technologies of 11.6 billion euros. This will be the largest investment ever produced, said in a press release from the automaker. About 80 percent of the amount (9.5 billion) will go on researching and developing so-called "future technologies" that are used in the electric vehicle and hybrid cars. In particular, the company spends significant resources to launch a series of electric models R8 e-tron, with sales planned for the end of 2012. For the same purposes in 2011, the automaker will hire 1,200 new employees. On the development of its two German factories - in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm - Audi will send five billion euros, which will increase the amount produced at the enterprises of models. In 2011, Audi plans to begin selling sedan A6 and the next generation of the first serial hybrid - Q5. In addition, next year the automaker will present a compact crossover Q3.
