Audi has announced a new, elongated modification of a luxury sedan Audi A8 new generation, which will be named Audi A8L 4.2 quattro. This car, as the name implies, is equipped with the known 4.2-liter engine and all-wheel drive is standard on all models A8, but differs from the basic model extended by 13 centimeters body. The total length of the body Audi A8L is now 5.18 meters, while the wheelbase has grown to 3.07 meters. Grown up in the length of the body can now accommodate rear passengers with more comfort, which involves the use of the car, basically, as a representative. We also add that in the basic equipment includes a lot of new items of additional equipment, including electrical control rear seats, as well as intellectual climate control system to regulate the air conditioner separately for each rear passenger. The official premiere of an extended version of the Audi A8 will be held next month at the Auto Show in Detroit. Bulk deliveries of the same innovations to market in Europe and the U.S. will begin towards the middle of 2003. Price of the car has not been determined.
