Audi has officially confirmed that the new Audi S3 will be the fall of 2006, according to Automotorundsport.de. The compact hatchback will complement the family of sports cars, Audi Series S. Accurate technical data yet, but it is expected that the new Audi will get four-cylinder engine with turbocharging and direct fuel injection. Engine power will be more than 250 horsepower. The car is also be equipped with a proprietary all-wheel drive quattro. Audi S3 will be based on car-class golf Audi A3, the current generation of which appeared in 2003. To date, the fastest version of this machine is equipped with six-cylinder engine producing 250 horsepower and can accelerate to sixty miles per hour in 6.5 seconds. It is expected that the new S3 will be even faster.
