Letter and spirit

Remember last year's concept car Audi Pikes Peak? He once again in front of you, but in the form of pre prototype, which is undergoing sea trials in Lapland. And under another name Audi Q7. Four-wheel drive Audi Q7 answer such cars as the BMW X5 and Range Rover Sport. Crossover platform built on the Volkswagen Touareg and the twins Porsche Cayenne (permanent four-wheel drive, air suspension, powerful engines). But, as said board member Ralph Weiler Audi, Q7 in nature will be more sports notok than, say, the BMW X5 and Mercedes M-class. Q7 will establish an assembly, most likely at the plant in Bratislava, in the same place where they make Touareg. If all goes according to plan, the car will appear in the European market in 2006, and later it will start selling in North America, which is to Audi's second largest market after Germany. And in another year or two will lower class SUV Audi Q5. The machine is not ready yet, but problems with it already. The company filed its Nissan claims about what the title of the new Audi used the letter Q: after all, since 1989, produced cars Infiniti Q45 and QX4. Indices are either registered trademarks as well as the advertising slogan the new Q. Representatives of the firm Nissan asked the District Court of Michigan to get Audi to stop using the letter Q.
