Audi preparing two new petrol engines

Audi is preparing for the premiere of two new petrol engines, with the debut of these units will take place next autumn in the international motor show in Paris. Note also that both engines will appear in the production program of the German company almost immediately after the premiere. The first new engine - a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine equipped with direct fuel injection and a turbocharger. It is based on already well-known two-liter unit, which is only slightly reduced the working volume. Capacity of the new engine is 170 horsepower, and a range of powertrains, he will replace the old Audi 1.8-liter turbo. The second engine - a 2.8-liter V6 with direct fuel injection, which gets more and a system of variable valve timing and variable intake manifold length. Despite the fact that the characteristics of this motor is not reported, we can assume that it will be a bit "weaker" than the 3.2-liter V6 FSI, installed on a VW Golf R32, but can boast better fuel economy and reduced content of harmful substances in exhaust gases. On what the Audi is planning to establish its new engines - not yet reported.
