Audi TT RS passes road tests

The most powerful version of the new coupe Audi TT, which will receive the name of the TT RS, and which should be on the market either in 2007 or in 2008, now has already started road testing. Moreover, according to some sources, the new product can be released in two versions - Civil TT S, with an engine capacity of around 280 horsepower, and "extreme", with an engine capacity of around 350-360 horsepower. The first modification, TT S, will be equipped with a finalized motor from Audi S3 - a two-liter gasoline turbo engine, whose power is expected to increase from 260 to 280 horsepower. This car will be equipped with all-wheel drive and can accelerate from zero to hundred kilometers per hour for approximately 5.3 seconds. Second, the most powerful version of the Audi TT RS, by some accounts, get the V6 volume of 3.6 liters - revised version of the already well-known 250-horsepower 3.2-liter engine. True power of the new unit is supposed to bring to the 350-360 horsepower coupe that will make a serious competitor to Audi BMW Z4 M Coupe and Porsche Cayman S. At the same time both cars will be equipped with upgraded suspension, more powerful brakes and sport seats and get a new interior trim in sporty style. According to some reports, Audi TT RS in Europe will cost 75 thousand dollars.
