Audi will spend 11 billion dollars to build new models

Management Team Audi has decided to invest in car production 15.7 billion dollars (11.8 billion euros) from 2006 to 2011, according to The Associated Press. Of these, over 11 billion dollars will be spent on expanding the range. By 2015 Audi plans to increase the number of production models from the current 22 to 40. According to the new CEO Rupert Stadler (Rupert Stadler), to develop the business right now can only offer customers more different vehicles. Standler took the place of Martin Winterkorn (Martin Winterkorn) who is now head of the entire group Volkswagen. Audi sales in 2006 rose by about eight percent. This year the German company plans to sell about 900,000 cars instead of 829 000 a year earlier. The most successful models have Audi A3, A6 and sports coupe TT.
