Audi A5 gets new two-liter turbo

Audi Company will expand the range of engines for the A5 coupe with a new two-liter gasoline turbo with direct fuel injection FSI. It is reported by the British publication Autocar. Note that the Audi also have another engine of similar size, which is offered in several different capacities - from 170 to 220 horsepower. The new engine is based on a 1.8-liter turbo unit and is equipped with operating the lifting height of the intake valves and control, thus, the amount of air that enters the cylinders. According to the German mark, this system will help improve efficiency and dynamic performance of the car. Capacity of the new two-liter engine makes 208 horsepower and maximum torque is 350 Nm, which is already available from 1500 rpm. Audi A5 Coupe with the engine, packaged with a six-speed manual transmission, can accelerate to "hundreds" of 6.9 seconds, which is seven-tenths of a second slower than a similar car with a 3.2-liter "six". Maximum speed - 250 miles per hour. Average fuel consumption per hundred kilometers is about 6.6 liters. Sales of Audi A5 will begin with a new engine for the European market in August this year. Prices for this car yet known only for the UK market: front-drive coupe will be at 28 thousand 760 pounds sterling, and all-wheel drive version will cost more than 30 thousand pounds sterling.
