An open version of Audi R8 will get the engine V10

The pop-up to next week's Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi will officially unveil open modification of its supercar Audi R8. This innovation, according to Autoweek.nl, R8 Spyder will be called and will be equipped with only a ten-cylinder engine with 5.2 liters. The power of this engine makes 525 horsepower. Audi R8 Coupe with the motor accelerates up to a hundred kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds, and the dynamic characteristics of spider has not yet announced. It is not excluded that due to the greater weight of the car will open slightly slower version with a body "coupe". But we know that the R8 Spyder will receive a folding soft top instead of the body "targa", as previously assumed, and will not be sold to the eight-cylinder motor of 4.2 liters - a modification will only be available in the coupe version. In addition to the model R8 Spyder at the Frankfurt Motor Show will be a full-sized hatchback Audi A5 Sportback, built on Audi A4, as well as the most powerful version coupe A5 - RS5.
