Audi shows will look like a compact hatchback A1

Audi has extended the first official information and pictures of the new compact car A1. It is expected that the main competitor for this car will be the Mini from BMW, and will be released A1 with four body styles: three-and five-door hatchback, coupe and convertible dvuhdernoe. The front-drive Audi A1 will be built on a new platform of the Volkswagen and will be equipped with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with five variants of power: 65, 85, 105, 140 and 170 horsepower. In addition, the new hatchback will get 1.6-liter turbodiesel. This engine, which will be aggregated with a seven-speed DSG gearbox with two clutches, will also be offered in several different ways - ranging from 75 to 130 horsepower. In addition, Audi plans to produce and "charged" with all-wheel modified S1 turbo engine of 200 horsepower. This car will get an aerodynamic body kit, and other than the basic version, alloy wheels. Audi A1 production will begin in late 2009 at a plant in Brussels. Production volume of the hatchback will be about 100 thousand cars per year. Prices per vehicle in Europe will start from 16 euros.
